The Pastor

Lay Leader:

The Lay Leader assists the Pastor in worship services and represents the church at district and conference meetings.

administrative council:

The administrative council is involved with mission and ministry of the church. Recommendations are brought to this committee for approval. The council consists of the pastor, lay leader, chairpersons of the administrative council, staff parish relations committee, finance, trustees, church treasurer, lay member to the annual conference, church secretary, administrative secretary, president/representative from the United Methodist Men, and president/representative from the United Methodist Women.

Finance Committee:

This Committee takes care of the finances of the church.  The committee consists of the Finance Chairperson, Pastor, church treasurer, financial secretary, lay leader, lay member of annual conference, chairperson of Administrative council, chairperson of SPRC and a representative of the trustees.

SPRC (Staff Parish Relations Committee):

This Committee assists the pastor in priorities for leadership and service.  The SPRC also hires paid staff members such as the church secretary and sexton.  The committee also meets annually with the District Superintendent prior to the annual Charge conference.

Trustees:

The board of trustees reviews property, liability, and crime insurance coverage on church-owned property, buildings, and equipment. They also review personnel insurance. The purpose of these reviews is to ensure that the church, its properties, and its personnel are properly protected against risks.  The trustees also schedule work days to keep the properties in good shape and make repairs or improvements where needed.

Worship Committee:

The Worship Committee assists the pastor in preparation of worship services.

United Methodist Women:

United Methodist Women purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

United Methodist Men:

The mission of UMM is to support spiritual growth among men, helping men to mature as disciples as they encourage spiritual formation in others. The goal is to empower the ministry of Jesus Christ through men within our congregation.
