Sunday Worship Series: "My God is a Rock"

IMG_1077.JPG

Our new worship series called “My God is a Rock” will be starting on November 5th and ending on November 26th,  Invite your family, friends, co-workers, or people on the street and tell them that: The LORD lives! Bless God, my rock! Let the God of my salvation be lifted high! Worshipping with the Psalms as our focal point, this series focuses on the promises of God, whose love and grace are enduring features our lives. In these days of instant gratification and fleeting interest, the Psalms remind us of the steadfast nature of God, calling each of us who are made in the image of God to be steadfast in our promises. We'll prepare ourselves for a new start in the Fall with some promises as a church, to work toward fulfilling our missional goals and being a safe haven where all can know the sure foundation of God!

Each week we will be studying a different Psalm:

November 5th - “Solid Rock” The LORD is my solid rock, my fortress, my rescuer. My God is my rock— I take refuge in him! God is my shield, my salvation’s strength, my place of safety. - Psalm 18

November 12th - “Lead Me to the Rock” When my heart is weak, I cry out to you from the very ends of the earth. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I am. - Psalm 61

November 19th - “Shelter of the Rock” Because he will shelter me in his own dwelling during troubling times; he will hide me in a secret place in his own tent; he will set me up high, safe on a rock. - Psalm 27

November 26th - “My Rock and My Redeemer” Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you, LORD, my rock and my redeemer. - Psalm 19
